Book Direct with the Owner at Crayfish Beach, Hook Island with Carnarvon Accommodation in Airlie Beach, for all your Attraction and travel needs.
Crayfish Beach is located on the eastern side of Hook Island, at Mackerel Bay, approximately 35 kilometres north-north-east of Airlie Beach. The beach is positioned between two large mountains and is immensely beautiful, with bush lands, sand, clear water and a coral reef. Due to the location, the beach is sheltered from the prevailing south-easterly winds which makes it an ideal camp site. The camping area is set amongst beach vegetation, with a small seasonal creek (subject to rainfall) that flows through the camping area to the beach on the north-western side of the bay. The camp site surface is sand and dirt. A camping permit is required to camp at Crayfish Beach. The campground has a capacity of 12 people (six small tents). Open fires are not permitted in the Whitsunday Islands National Park. Crayfish Beach can be reached during a mid to high tide by boat (only). Facilities include a composting toilet. Take your own drinking water, rubbish bags, a fuel stove and insect repellent. ...Carnarvon Accommodation welcomes Crayfish Beach, Hook Island, the ideal Airlie Beach QLD Holiday outlet for all the family to enjoy.
